<p>Wilmington, N.C. – Viamark Wilmington announced today that it has continued the expansion of its client services team with the addition of Sarah Conrad, former account executive at Sunrise Broadcasting in Wilmington and Beasley Broadcast Group in Jacksonville, N.C.  Bringing over seven years of advertising, marketing and broadcast experience to the team, Sarah is responsible for advising clients on creative, attention-getting radio and broadcast media.</p>
<p>“We are so pleased to have Sarah on the Viamark Wilmington team,” says company president Bea Raybourne. “Her energy, work ethic, creativity and professionalism – all hallmarks of Viamark service &#8211; will help us assist our clients to build their businesses.”</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Atlantic Beach, N.C. -  Out-of-towners and local fine food and wine aficionados alike can experience North Carolina’s most celebrated guest chefs at the 2010 Culinary Series hosted by the <a href="http://www.sheratonatlanticbeach.com/">Sheraton Atlantic Beach.</a> The second in the series takes place over the weekend of February 26-28, 2010 and features Executive Chef Adam Rose from the Siena Hotel’s Four Diamond award winning restaurant, <a href="http://www.sienahotel.com">Il Palio</a>.</p>
<p>Activities include a welcome reception and Italian wine tasting on Friday; Saturday’s live, hands-on cooking demonstration and luncheon where Chef Adam, along with the Sheraton’s Executive Chef, John Andreola, will prepare ‘Cacciuco’ using fresh North Carolina shrimp and red snapper with lemon pepper taglionlini pasta, Cape Fear River Basin little neck clams, Sunny Slope farm tomatoes and pepperocini. Dessert is an Almond Cake made with brandied figs and espresso zabaglione.</p>
<p>Saturday evening begins with a reception, followed by a three course dining experience accompanied by the perfect Italian wine pairing. <strong>Shrimp and S</strong><strong>affron Risotto</strong> will start the meal, followed by <strong>Flounder Saltimbocca</strong>, served with oven dried Sunny Slope Farms tomatoes, fregola pasta, cucumbers, kalamata olives, red peppers, zucchini and tomato burre fondue, ending with a baked <strong>Bosc pear with Amoretti</strong> custard and house-made Vincotto for dessert.</p>
<p>The <a href="http://www.trianglewineexperience.com/">Triangle Wine Experience</a>, the flagship charity event that supports the <a href="http://www.frankielemmon.org/">Frankie Lemmon Foundation</a>, will benefit from a silent auction and proceeds from the event.</p>

Each year the Triangle Wine Experience organizes a series of wine  auctions, tastings, and other wine-related events, attracting wine enthusiasts  from around the world. It has become a favorite with wineries, restaurants,  retail merchants, wine distributors, and the wine consuming and collecting  public. Over the years, The Triangle Wine Experience has grown into a three-day  event. Event highlights include: wine maker dinners, sip, shop &amp; signs at  local retail shops, and grand gala with silent and live auctions.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Georgia;">Funds raised by the Triangle Wine Experience support the  Frankie Lemmon School and Developmental Center, a non-profit preschool for  children with special education needs. This tuition-free developmental center  serves children ages 3-6 who have developmental delays, language impairments,  learning disabilities, or mental retardation. Without the funds raised from  Triangle Wine Experience, the school could not exist.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Georgia;">Activities include a welcome reception on Friday;  Saturday’s live, hands-on cooking demonstration and luncheon where Jason, along  with the Sheraton’s Executive Chef, John Andreola, will serve Perry Lowe Orchard  Pear Sangria with fresh vanilla bean and prepare Snead’s Ferry She-Crab soup and  pan-seared wahoocake salad with basil balsamic vinaigrette using local  seafood. </span></p>

<p>Raleigh, NC &#8212; Social The Magazine <a href="http://socialthemagazine.com/raleigh">(www.SocialTheMagazine.com/raleigh</a>) has announced that they will premiere the first episode of the &#8220;Social in the City&#8221; TV series on CW22 on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 7:30pm. Social The Magazine has partnered with Creative Force Studios to film and produce the show, which aims to highlight the Raleigh, NC and surrounding area&#8217;s burgeoning fashion, nightlife and entertainment scene.</p>
<p>The television show film crew will travel along with Social The Magazine&#8217;s guests, local personalities and celebrities on a specially designed tour bus to various locations to capture live action and conduct on-camera interviews. These events are open to anyone who would like to attend and be a part of the show.</p>
<p>&#8220;Our goal is to feature the excitement and fun this area has to offer and present it in a completely new and different format that will encourage people to get out after dark and enjoy themselves.&#8221; says Social The Magazine publisher Chris London, &#8220;The concept is unique, and everyone involved is very excited about it.&#8221; The show will also feature additional elements, such as a behind the scenes look at a Social The Magazine cover photo shoot, interviews with local personalities, features on local fashion boutiques and salons, and highlights from Social sponsored events such as the annual Reader&#8217;s Choice Awards show.</p>
<p>Each &#8220;Social In The City&#8221; episode will air three times a month at 7:30pm on CW22 starting December 5, 2009. In the spring of 2010, a new episode of &#8220;Social In The City&#8221; will air each week.</p>
<p>The next episode of &#8220;Social In The City&#8221; will be filmed on November 20, 2009. <p>DURHAM, NC – Wendy Clark has re-christened the former hosiery mill, farmer’s cooperative and now non-profit and entrepreneurial business community, <strong>The John O’Daniel Exchange</strong> (<a href="http://www.belovedcommunity.com/">www.BelovedCommunityNC.com</a>). Small-business owner Wendy Clark have transformed a 92-year-old building near the Cleveland-Holloway neighborhood into a busy small business and nonprofit center, home to burgeoning ventures and a host of workshops enriching the local entrepreneurial community. </p>
<p>&#8220;We have created a space that for entrepreneurs just starting out or non profits that serve the community and need an affordable, accessible place to do business,” Clark said. &#8220;We feel like it&#8217;s a good opportunity for businesses and local people to either start up something or something that would serve the community and thereby reinvest in that area.&#8221;</p>
<p>In September of 2008, Clark purchased the 14,500-square-foot building at 801 Gilbert St. for $275,000. As Lewis &amp; Clark Community Developers LLC,  she has put an additional one million into the renovations. Lewis &amp; Clark was able to secure a commercial revitalization grant of $177,000 from the city of Durham and secure the rest of the financing from BB&amp;T. Their first tenants moved in May, 2009 and the Exchange<ins datetime="2009-10-30T09:17" cite="mailto:%20Wendy%20Clark"> </ins>is now home to six for-profit businesses including <strong><a href="http://www.carpediemcleaning.com/">Carpe Diem</a></strong> and six non-profit, such as <strong><a href="http://www.durhamcares.org/">Durham Cares</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://worldrelief.org/durham">World Relief</a>.</strong> There is office space for five more tenants and six more single users in the center’s co-working spaces.  </p>
<p>To celebrate the Exchange’s opening, Clark is throwing a party for the tenants, the community and business leaders on Saturday, November 21 from 3 to 5 o’clock. Attendees can tour the building, meet the tenants, enjoy a back-country barbecue, while listening to the sounds of Louis Mays and children at play on a host of activities and games planned for the event.</p>
<p>Clark, 35, comes into the project with ample knowledge of the difficulties of starting a small business and keeping it alive. She founded her business, Carpe Diem Cleaning Inc. with just $100 and three clients when she was only 20 years old. Steadily, she has grown it to what it is today, with 25 employees and a client roster of 400<ins datetime="2009-10-30T09:21" cite="mailto:%20Wendy%20Clark"> </ins>homes and businesses.</p>
<p>For the past nine<ins datetime="2009-10-30T09:21" cite="mailto:%20Wendy%20Clark"> </ins>years, she has also lived in Northeast Central Durham and made combating poverty a priority in her life. &#8220;I thought about how I could support other people in business,&#8221; she said. &#8220;The more a dollar passes through a community, the wealthier a community is.&#8221;</p>
<p>Rents will be kept low. Co-working space starts at $175 per month. Office rents range from $295 to $595 a month for 180-430 square feet, which includes wireless access, work center, conference rooms, and rental storage and multipurpose rooms, including a meeting space with 90-person capacity.  </p>
